i’m sorry. i can’t. don’t hate me.

If you’re a female, you know that phrase all too well… Which brings me to my story:

I’m out with my girlfriends a few weeks ago sharing bottles of wine, and the topic of dating and relationships comes up. We decide to swap horror stories – juicy details and all. Believe me, I’ve had my fair share of dating disasters and memorable break-ups (being the dumper and the dumpee), but one in particular sticks out.┬áThis more recent fiasco made it’s way to my “Top 3 Dating Disasters”.

I had been dating this guy for a month or so and things seemed to be going well. We had a lot in common and great chemistry. We both (at the time) said we wanted to pursue this and see where it went. Needless to say, I was completely blind sided when things ended… How did he end it? Not in person or even with a phone call, but a TEXT MESSAGE. A man in his 30’s no less. I felt like Carrie from Sex & The City

First comes the shock…

And then anger/confusion…

That’s what your girlfriends are for… to help you back up from a break up.

girlfriends and wine.

My favorite kind of Friday night is spent with my girlfriends, drinking wine, eating delicious snacks and catching up on gossip. There are 5 of us girls that love to get together once or twice a month for wine night. We each bring our favorite bottle of wine, usually something new each time, and our favorite snack. Of course, our wine nights wouldn’t be complete without something sweet!

“I’m having fruit salad for dinner. Well, it’s mostly grapes actually. Ok, all grapes. Fermented grapes. I’m having wine for dinner.”
